Revenge of the 217 // 4.28.17

Friday night was a special night for both me and the Decatur music scene! We celebrated the one year anniversary of bringing the Decatur music scene back with some amazing bands. I had the chance to shoot each band. To be honest, I was kind of burnt out on photography by the end of the night, but I'm so glad I shot each band. I just want to say thank you to all the bands that played, Chris Driscoll for running sound, and everyone that came. A huge thank you goes out to Honz Cartee for giving us a home. Without you, the Decatur music scene would be nothing. I can't wait to see how far Doulos goes and all the bands we're able to bring in throughout the years. I always hated living here, but I knew that the music scene was one thing that made it less crappy. Friday night reminded me why I love the music scene so much and why I got involved in it in the first place. There's no better feeling than being surrounded by people that love you and that you love, even if you don't know some of them! Another huge thing about Friday night is that it was Lucid's last show! They were one of the first local bands I ever found and they're super talented. I'm really sad to see them go, but I'm excited to see what each of them will do! They just put out a new EP so you should definitely go give it a listen. I could seriously go on for forever about each band and the love and gratitude I have for them, so I'll just stop here. Enjoy my favorites from each of these talented bands!
